Israel dominates exports structure, recording X tons, which was near 88% of total exports in 2022. It was distantly followed by Turkey (X tons), creating a 9% share of total exports.

Imports in the Middle East
In 2022, the amount of plant-growth regulators imported in the Middle East soared to X tons, rising by 15% compared with 2021 figures. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +3.3% over the period from 2012 to 2022; the trend pattern remained relatively stable, with somewhat noticeable fluctuations throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of 19%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure in 2022 and are expected to retain growth in years to come.
In value terms, plant-growth regulators imports rose remarkably to $X in 2022. The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +4.1% over the period from 2012 to 2022; the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of 15% against the previous year. Turkey was the main importing country with an import of about X tons, which amounted to 38% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Iran (X tons), Iraq (X tons), Israel (X tons) and Saudi Arabia (X tons), together mixing up a 49% share of total imports. The United Arab Emirates (X tons) and Palestine (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Iraq (with a CAGR of +35.0%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, Turkey ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported plant-growth regulators in the Middle East, comprising 48% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Iraq ($X), with a 12% share of total imports. It was followed by Iran, with a 12% share.
In Turkey, plant-growth regulators imports increased at an average annual rate of +3.3% over the period from 2012-2022. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Iraq (+34.0% per year) and Iran (+5.8% per year).
Import Prices by Country
