In value terms, the largest plastic or non-precious metal watch supplying countries in the Middle East were the United Arab Emirates ($X), Bahrain ($X) and Israel ($X), with a combined 87% share of total exports.
Bahrain, with a CAGR of +53.9%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, among the main exporting countries over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports into the United Arab Emirates decreased at an average annual rate of -7.9% from 2012 to 2022. At the same time, Qatar (+22.8%), Iraq (+4.9%), Israel (+2.5%) and Lebanon (+2.5%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Qatar emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the Middle East, with a CAGR of +22.8% from 2012-2022. By contrast, Turkey (-7.0%), Iran (-10.7%) and Saudi Arabia (-15.3%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2022, the share of Qatar, Israel, Lebanon and Iraq increased by +7.5, +4, +3.6 and +2 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, the United Arab Emirates ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported plastic or non-precious metal watches in the Middle East, comprising 46% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Turkey ($X), with a 13% share of total imports. It was followed by Qatar, with an 11% share.
In the United Arab Emirates, plastic or non-precious metal watch imports remained relatively stable over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining importing countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Turkey (+1.7% per year) and Qatar (+9.0% per year).
