The export price in the Middle East stood at $X per ton in 2022, falling by -48.5% against the previous year. In general, the export price showed a abrupt curtailment. The volume of import peaked in 2022 and is likely to continue growth in the near future.

In 2022, Turkey (X tons) represented the key importer of prepared skins of birds, making up 63% of total imports. Israel (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total imports with a 24% share, followed by Lebanon (5.3%). The United Arab Emirates (X tons) and Kuwait (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the largest prepared birds skin importing markets in the Middle East were Turkey ($X), Israel ($X) and the United Arab Emirates ($X), together comprising 90% of total imports.

Israel, with a CAGR of +37.5%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
