It was distantly followed by the United Arab Emirates (X units), Israel (X units) and Bahrain (X units), together generating a 29% share of total exports. By contrast, the United Arab Emirates (-2.3%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of Turkey (+19 p.p.), Bahrain (+5 p.p.) and Oman (+2.6 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2022, the share of Israel (-1.6 p.p.) and the United Arab Emirates (-14 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics.
In value terms, Turkey ($X) remains the largest pressure-reducing iron valve supplier in the Middle East, comprising 60% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by Israel ($X), with a 17% share of total exports. It was followed by the United Arab Emirates, with a 16% share.
In Turkey, pressure-reducing iron valve exports expanded at an average annual rate of +9.7% over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Israel (+0.5% per year) and the United Arab Emirates (-0.8% per year).
Export Prices by Country
The export price in the Middle East stood at $X per unit in 2022, picking up by 1.7% against the previous year. Over the period from 2012 to 2022, it increased at an average annual rate of +1.1%. The total import volume increased at an average annual rate of +1.5% over the period from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 when imports increased by 27% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X units in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, pressure-reducing iron valve imports dropped to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, saw a slight slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 14%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2014 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2022, the import price in the Middle East amounted to $X per unit, with a decrease of -7.8% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price saw a noticeable decrease. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 when the import price increased by 14%. The level of import peaked at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, import prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Israel ($X per unit), while Iraq ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
