From 2014 to 2021, the growth of the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, liquid dispensing pump exports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Overall, exports recorded a prominent increase. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Exports by Country

The United Arab Emirates represented the largest exporter of pumps for dispensing liquids in the Middle East, with the volume of exports finishing at X units, which was approx. 58% of total exports in 2021. Turkey (X units) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a 26% share, followed by Saudi Arabia (11%). The following exporters - Israel (X units) and Oman (X units) - together made up 5.2% of total exports.

From 2012 to 2021, average annual rates of growth with regard to liquid dispensing pump exports from the United Arab Emirates stood at +21.0%. At the same time, Saudi Arabia (+34.0%) and Oman (+21.0%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Saudi Arabia emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the Middle East, with a CAGR of +34.0% from 2012-2021. By contrast, Turkey (-6.1%) and Israel (-9.2%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. While the share of the United Arab Emirates (+43 p.p.) and Saudi Arabia (+9.5 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2021, the share of Israel (-8.3 p.p.) and Turkey (-39 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the United Arab Emirates ($X), Israel ($X) and Turkey ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of exports in 2021, with a combined 91% share of total exports. These countries were followed by Saudi Arabia and Oman, which together accounted for a further 8.1%.

In terms of the main exporting countries, Saudi Arabia, with a CAGR of +22.7%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Export Prices by Country

In 2021, the export price in the Middle East amounted to $X per unit, with an increase of 20% against the previous year. In general, the export price saw strong growth. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 when the export price increased by 97%. The level of export peaked at $X per unit in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, the export prices stood at a somewhat lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major exporting countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Israel ($X per unit), while Turkey ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Israel (+30.8%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, supplies from abroad of pumps for dispensing liquids increased by 3.2% to X units, rising for the second year in a row after two years of decline. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate a abrupt contraction. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 43% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X units in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, liquid dispensing pump imports rose markedly to $X in 2021. In general, imports showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 with an increase of 27%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2016 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2021, Oman (X units), Saudi Arabia (X units) and the United Arab Emirates (X units) was the major importer of pumps for dispensing liquids in the Middle East, constituting 76% of total import.
