For the third year in a row, the Middle Eastern pump for liquid market recorded growth in sales value, which increased by 18% to $X in 2021. The total consumption indicated buoyant growth from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +9.1% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, consumption increased by +71.8% against 2016 indices. The level of consumption peaked in 2021 and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, pump for liquid production rose sharply to $X in 2021 estimated in export price. Over the period under review, production saw a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 with an increase of 53%. As a result, production reached the peak level of $X. From 2020 to 2021, production growth remained at a somewhat lower figure.

Exports in the Middle East

In 2021, overseas shipments of pumps for liquids and liquid elevators increased by 18% to X units, rising for the second year in a row after two years of decline. Total exports indicated a prominent expansion from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +6.5% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, exports increased by +80.7% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 53%. The volume of export peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in the immediate term.

In value terms, pump for liquid exports soared to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports posted a strong expansion. As a result, the exports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Exports by Country

In 2021, Turkey (X units) represented the major exporter of pumps for liquids and liquid elevators, generating 67% of total exports. It was distantly followed by the United Arab Emirates (X units), making up a 26% share of total exports. Saudi Arabia (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Turkey was also the fastest-growing in terms of the pumps for liquids and liquid elevators exports, with a CAGR of +15.6% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, the United Arab Emirates (+2.4%) displayed positive paces of growth. By contrast, Saudi Arabia (-15.3%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2021, the share of Turkey increased by +35 percentage points.

In value terms, Turkey ($X) remains the largest pump for liquid supplier in the Middle East, comprising 81% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by the United Arab Emirates ($X), with a 13% share of total exports.

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Turkey stood at +16.3%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: the United Arab Emirates (+9.5% per year) and Saudi Arabia (-1.0% per year).

Export Prices by Country

The export price in the Middle East stood at $X per unit in 2021, growing by 58% against the previous year. Export price indicated a buoyant increase from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +6.9% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. As a result, the export price reached the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Turkey ($X per unit), while the United Arab Emirates ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Saudi Arabia (+16.9%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Imports in the Middle East

In 2021, pump for liquid imports in the Middle East surged to X units, with an increase of 27% on the previous year's figure. Total imports indicated a prominent expansion from 2012 to 2021: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +9.4% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +77.8% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2020 with an increase of 40% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.

In value terms, pump for liquid imports soared to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $X in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

Imports by Country

Turkey represented the main importer of pumps for liquids and liquid elevators in the Middle East, with the volume of imports accounting for X units, which was approx. 62% of total imports in 2021. The United Arab Emirates (X units) took the second position in the ranking, distantly followed by Iran (X units) and Israel (X units). All these countries together held approx. 26% share of total imports. The following importers - Saudi Arabia (X units), Iraq (X units) and Oman (X units) - together made up 8.4% of total imports.

Imports into Turkey increased at an average annual rate of +11.5% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Saudi Arabia (+18.5%), the United Arab Emirates (+10.7%), Oman (+8.7%), Iraq (+7.2%), Israel (+7.0%) and Iran (+1.4%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Saudi Arabia emerged as the fastest-growing importer imported in the Middle East, with a CAGR of +18.5% from 2012-2021. From 2012 to 2021, the share of Turkey and Saudi Arabia increased by +9.6 and +2 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, Turkey ($X), the United Arab Emirates ($X) and Saudi Arabia ($X) appeared to be the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2021, with a combined 64% share of total imports.

In terms of the main importing countries, Turkey, with a CAGR of +5.5%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Import Prices by Country

In 2021, the import price in the Middle East amounted to $X per unit, dropping by -5.9% against the previous year. Overall, the import price showed a deep downturn. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 when the import price increased by 27%. Over the period under review, import prices reached the peak figure at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Iraq ($X per unit), while Turkey ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Israel (-3.3%), while the other leaders experienced a decline in the import price figures.
