Moreover, Saudi Arabia emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the Middle East, with a CAGR of +78.1% from 2012-2021. While the share of Iraq (+33 p.p.) and Saudi Arabia (+10 p.p.) increased significantly in terms of the total exports from 2012-2021, the share of Israel (-10.6 p.p.) and Lebanon (-14.3 p.p.) displayed negative dynamics. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.

In value terms, the largest cattle hide and skin supplying countries in the Middle East were Iraq ($X), Israel ($X) and Saudi Arabia ($X), together accounting for 77% of total exports.

In terms of the main exporting countries, Saudi Arabia, with a CAGR of +77.9%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of exports, over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
