Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure at X units in 2020, and then shrank slightly in the following year.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the key exporting countries, was attained by Oman (with a CAGR of +99.6%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Turkey ($X) remains the largest semiconductor LED supplier in the Middle East, comprising 70% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Oman ($X), with an 11% share of total exports. It was followed by the United Arab Emirates, with a 7.9% share.

In Turkey, semiconductor LED exports increased at an average annual rate of +43.8% over the period from 2012-2021. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: Oman (+48.4% per year) and the United Arab Emirates (-5.7% per year).

In 2021, the export price in the Middle East amounted to $X per unit, dropping by -10.6% against the previous year. Overall, the export price showed a abrupt setback. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2016 when the import price increased by 35%. The level of import peaked at $X per unit in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.

Prices varied noticeably by country of destination: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Turkey ($X per unit), while Yemen ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
