Overall, exports recorded a resilient increase. As a result, the exports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, steam blasting machine exports surged to $X in 2021. Total exports indicated a prominent expansion from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +6.3% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, exports increased by +97.2% against 2016 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when exports increased by 36%. The level of export peaked in 2021 and is expected to retain growth in years to come.

Turkey was the key exporting country with an export of about X units, which recorded 68% of total exports. The United Arab Emirates (X units) took a 24% share (based on physical terms) of total exports, which put it in second place, followed by Oman (5.1%). Israel (X units) followed a long way behind the leaders.
Exports from Turkey increased at an average annual rate of +10.8% from 2012 to 2021. At the same time, Oman (+55.2%) and Israel (+8.6%) displayed positive paces of growth. Moreover, Oman emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the Middle East, with a CAGR of +55.2% from 2012-2021. By contrast, the United Arab Emirates (-2.8%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. Turkey (+24 p.p.) and Oman (+4.9 p.p.) significantly strengthened its position in terms of the total exports, while the United Arab Emirates saw its share reduced by -26.2% from 2012 to 2021, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Turkey ($X) remains the largest steam blasting machine supplier in the Middle East, comprising 73% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by the United Arab Emirates ($X), with a 21% share of total exports. It was followed by Israel, with a 2.6% share.
In Turkey, steam blasting machine exports increased at an average annual rate of +11.9% over the period from 2012-2021. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: the United Arab Emirates (-1.1% per year) and Israel (-1.7% per year).
Export Prices by Country

Overall, imports recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 when imports increased by 110% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units. From 2014 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, steam blasting machine imports expanded notably to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when imports increased by 43% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2014 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Turkey ($X), the United Arab Emirates ($X) and Israel ($X) were the countries with the highest levels of imports in 2021, with a combined 54% share of total imports. These countries were followed by Qatar, Iraq, Iran and Palestine, which together accounted for a further 15%.
Palestine, with a CAGR of +7.8%, saw the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, among the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
Import Prices by Country
The import price in the Middle East stood at $X per unit in 2021, rising by 9.4% against the previous year. In general, the import price continues to indicate a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 an increase of 63%. As a result, import price reached the peak level of $X per unit. From 2018 to 2021, the import prices failed to regain momentum.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Israel ($X per unit), while Qatar ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
