In value terms, tap and valve exports rose significantly to $X in 2022. Total exports indicated a resilient increase from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +6.4% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +21.5% against 2018 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 with an increase of 22%. Turkey represented the key exporter of taps, cocks, valves and similar appliances in the Middle East, with the volume of exports reaching X tons, which was approx. 69% of total exports in 2022. The United Arab Emirates (X tons) ranks second in terms of the total exports with a 17% share, followed by Israel (8.7%). Saudi Arabia (X tons) followed a long way behind the leaders.

Turkey was also the fastest-growing in terms of the taps, cocks, valves and similar appliances exports, with a CAGR of +5.2% from 2012 to 2022. In Turkey, tap and valve exports expanded at an average annual rate of +6.6% over the period from 2012-2022. The remaining exporting countries recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Israel (+3.7% per year) and the United Arab Emirates (+9.8% per year).

The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
