Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Saudi Arabia ($X per ton), while the United Arab Emirates ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was attained by Oman (+6.9%), while the other leaders experienced mixed trends in the export price figures.

Imports in the Middle East
In 2021, overseas purchases of transmission apparatus incorporating reception apparatus increased by 20% to X tons, rising for the fifth consecutive year after three years of decline. In general, imports recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 34% against the previous year. The volume of import peaked at X tons in 2013; however, from 2014 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, transmission apparatus imports soared to $X in 2021. Total imports indicated a resilient expansion from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +8.6% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports increased by +78.5% against 2016 indices. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

The following importers - Israel (X tons), Turkey (X tons) and Oman (X tons) - each amounted to an 8.2% share of total imports.

The level of import peaked at $X per ton in 2016; however, from 2017 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major importing countries. In 2021, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Turkey ($X per ton), while Oman ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
