In 2022, the amount of whole fresh milk exported in the Middle East expanded remarkably to X tons, growing by 15% on 2021 figures. Overall, exports, however, continue to indicate a deep setback. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when exports increased by 17%. Over the period under review, the exports hit record highs at X tons in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, whole fresh milk exports soared to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, exports, however, continue to indicate a abrupt slump. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 with an increase of 21%. The level of export peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2022, the exports remained at a lower figure.

In 2022, the United Arab Emirates (X tons), distantly followed by Turkey (X tons), Saudi Arabia (X tons), Iran (X tons) and Kuwait (X tons) were the largest exporters of whole fresh milk, together creating 90% of total exports. The following exporters - Bahrain (X tons) and Oman (X tons) - together made up 6.8% of total exports.
