The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Moreover, Kuwait emerged as the fastest-growing exporter exported in the Middle East, with a CAGR of +29.2% from 2012-2022. By contrast, the United Arab Emirates (-10.8%) illustrated a downward trend over the same period. From 2012 to 2022, the share of Turkey and Iran increased by +40 and +4.1 percentage points, respectively. The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Turkey ($X) remains the largest worked wax articles supplier in the Middle East, comprising 63% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was held by the United Arab Emirates ($X), with a 14% share of total exports. It was followed by Iran, with an 8% share.

The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +3.9% from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 27% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X, and then shrank in the following year.

The shares of the other countries remained relatively stable throughout the analyzed period.
In value terms, Turkey ($X) constitutes the largest market for imported worked articles of wax in the Middle East, comprising 46% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by the United Arab Emirates ($X), with an 11% share of total imports. It was followed by Iran, with a 10% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value in Turkey totaled +6.1%. In the other countries, the average annual rates were as follows: the United Arab Emirates (+8.3% per year) and Iran (+21.4% per year).

The import price in the Middle East stood at $X per thousand units in 2022, declining by -12% against the previous year. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a mild setback.
