Kuwait (X tons), Oman (X tons) and the United Arab Emirates (X tons) represented roughly 69% of total imports in 2022. Palestine (X tons) held the next position in the ranking, followed by Bahrain (X tons). All these countries together took approx. 24% share of total imports. Jordan (X tons) and Israel (X tons) took a relatively small share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the leading importing countries, was attained by Israel (with a CAGR of +42.2%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, the largest yoghurt importing markets in the Middle East were the United Arab Emirates ($X), Kuwait ($X) and Oman ($X), together accounting for 67% of total imports. Palestine, Bahrain, Jordan and Israel lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 29%.

Israel, with a CAGR of +41.1%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of imports, in terms of the main importing countries over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, the import price in the Middle East amounted to $X per ton, surging by 7.7% against the previous year. Over the period under review, the import price showed a relatively flat trend pattern. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 an increase of 10% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import prices hit record highs in 2022 and is likely to continue growth in the near future.
