From 2016 to 2021, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, concentrated grapefruit juice exports soared to $X in 2021. In general, exports continue to indicate a significant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 with an increase of 1,339% against the previous year. As a result, the exports reached the peak of $X. From 2016 to 2021, the growth of the exports remained at a lower figure.

Mauritania (X tons), Burkina Faso (X tons) and France (X tons) were the main destinations of concentrated grapefruit juice exports from Morocco, together accounting for 98% of total exports.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by France (with a CAGR of +36.5%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

In value terms, Burkina Faso ($X) emerged as the key foreign market for concentrated grapefruit juice exports from Morocco, comprising 54% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Mauritania ($X), with a 25% share of total exports. It was followed by France, with a 17% share.

Overall, imports showed a drastic downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 with an increase of 77% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tons in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, imports failed to regain momentum.

In value terms, concentrated grapefruit juice imports contracted significantly to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports showed a mild reduction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2014 with an increase of 133%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

France (X tons), Cyprus (X tons) and Spain (X kg) were the main suppliers of concentrated grapefruit juice imports to Morocco, with a combined 99.9% share of total imports.

From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Cyprus (with a CAGR of +0.5%), while imports for the other leaders experienced a decline.

In value terms, France ($X) constituted the largest supplier of concentrated grapefruit juice to Morocco, comprising 64% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Cyprus ($X), with a 28% share of total imports.

Based on 2021 figures, concentrated grapefruit juice import price increased by +42.5% against 2017 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2014 when the average import price increased by 32%. The import price peaked at $X per ton in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2021, import prices failed to regain momentum.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Spain ($X per ton), while the price for Cyprus ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
