Senegal (X units) was the main destination for electric hand-dryer exports from Morocco, accounting for a 64% share of total exports. Moreover, electric hand-dryer exports to Senegal exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, Cameroon (X units), twofold. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum at X units in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, electric hand-dryer imports rose rapidly to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, total imports indicated noticeable growth from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +4.1% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports decreased by -30.7% against 2018 indices. China (X units), Spain (X units) and France (X units) were the main suppliers of electric hand-dryer imports to Morocco, together comprising 82% of total imports. Malaysia, the United Arab Emirates, the Netherlands and the United States lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 16%.
