Spain (X kg), Senegal (X kg) and Mauritania (X kg) were the main destinations of furnace burner exports from Morocco, with a combined 88% share of total exports.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Senegal (with a CAGR of +9.7%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.

In 2021, overseas purchases of furnace burners, mechanical stokers, mechanical grates and mechanical ash dischargers decreased by -23.2% to X tons for the first time since 2018, thus ending a two-year rising trend. Over the period under review, imports, however, enjoyed a pronounced expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2019 with an increase of 76%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, furnace burner imports dropped rapidly to $X in 2021. Overall, imports continue to indicate a mild reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 86% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X. From 2018 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
Imports by Country
In 2021, Italy (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of furnace burner to Morocco, with a 26% share of total imports. Moreover, furnace burner imports from Italy exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, the UK (X tons), fivefold. Germany (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 4.2% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from Italy totaled +5.3%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: the UK (+19.1% per year) and Germany (+5.3% per year).
