Spain (X tons), France (X tons) and the UK (X tons) were the main destinations of wire and cable exports from Morocco, with a combined 66% share of total exports. These countries were followed by Italy, Mali, Senegal, Germany, Cote d'Ivoire, Sweden and Portugal, which together accounted for a further 19%.

In 2021, after three years of decline, there was growth in overseas purchases of insulated wire and cable, when their volume increased by 4.2% to X tons. Overall, imports recorded resilient growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 when imports increased by 87%. Imports peaked at X tons in 2017; however, from 2018 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
