From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Mauritania (-4.4%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced a decline.

In 2022, imports of jute and jute-like fibers into Morocco expanded rapidly to X tons, growing by 12% on the previous year's figure. Overall, imports, however, showed a sharp contraction. In 2022, Kenya (X tons) constituted the largest jute and jute-like fibers supplier to Morocco, with a 78% share of total imports. Moreover, jute and jute-like fibers imports from Kenya exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Tanzania (X kg), fourfold. China (X kg) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 0.1% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Kenya stood at -26.7%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Tanzania (-29.7% per year) and China (-54.1% per year).
In value terms, Kenya ($X) constituted the largest supplier of jute and jute-like fibers to Morocco, comprising 83% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was held by Tanzania ($X), with an 11% share of total imports. It was followed by Bangladesh, with less than 0.1% share.
