The Netherlands (X tons), the United States (X tons) and Canada (X tons) were the main destinations of orange exports from Morocco, together comprising 47% of total exports.

There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Canada ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to Mauritania ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Canada (+7.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2022, after two years of decline, there was significant growth in supplies from abroad of oranges, when their volume increased by 22% to X tons. In general, imports continue to indicate significant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 with an increase of 3,886% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, orange imports surged to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate significant growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 1,146% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2022, Spain (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of orange to Morocco, with a 87% share of total imports. Moreover, orange imports from Spain exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, China (X tons), sevenfold.
From 2013 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume from Spain amounted to -50.1%.
