The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 when imports increased by 62%. Imports peaked at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2021, China (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of phosphorus, arsenic and selenium to Morocco, accounting for a 49% share of total imports. Moreover, phosphorus, arsenic and selenium imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Spain (X tons), twofold. Belgium (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 19% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from China stood at +18.6%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Spain (+20.0% per year) and Belgium (+26.6% per year).
In value terms, China ($X), Spain ($X) and Poland ($X) appeared to be the largest phosphorus, arsenic and selenium suppliers to Morocco, together comprising 45% of total imports.
