The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports decreased by -0.6% against 2019 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when imports increased by 44% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2019; afterwards, it flattened through to 2021.

In 2021, France (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of prepared mustard to Morocco, with a 70% share of total imports. Moreover, prepared mustard imports from France exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Germany (X tons), fourfold.
