For the third consecutive year, the Moroccan register book market recorded decline in sales value, which decreased by -14.6% to $X in 2022. France (X tons), Cote d'Ivoire (X tons) and Senegal (X tons) were the main destinations of register book exports from Morocco, together accounting for 59% of total exports. Mauritania, Burkina Faso, Guinea, Mali and Italy lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 35%.

From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for Mali (with a CAGR of +87.1%), while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Register book imports into Morocco shrank rapidly to X tons in 2022, waning by -15.1% on the previous year's figure. In general, imports saw a slight contraction. In value terms, China ($X) constituted the largest supplier of registers, account books, order books and receipt books to Morocco, comprising 67% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Turkey ($X), with an 8.6% share of total imports. It was followed by France, with a 6.4% share.

From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value from China amounted to +10.7%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Turkey (+70.0% per year) and France (-3.2% per year).

Over the period from 2012 to 2022, it increased at an average annual rate of +3.0%. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 an increase of 37% against the previous year. The import price peaked in 2022 and is likely to see steady growth in the near future.

Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Lebanon ($X per ton), while the price for Italy ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
