Over the period under review, the exports attained the peak figure at X tons in 2020, and then contracted markedly in the following year.

In value terms, aluminium alloy tube exports fell remarkably to $X in 2021. Overall, exports, however, recorded significant growth. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2019 when exports increased by 237%. The exports peaked at $X in 2020, and then contracted markedly in the following year.

Singapore (X tons) was the main destination for aluminium alloy tube exports from Myanmar, accounting for a 69% share of total exports. Moreover, aluminium alloy tube exports to Singapore exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, China (X kg), threefold.

In 2022, the amount of aluminium alloy tubes and pipes imported into Myanmar fell dramatically to X tons, with a decrease of -86.4% against the previous year's figure. Over the period under review, imports recorded a abrupt decrease. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when imports increased by 179% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In value terms, aluminium alloy tube imports contracted dramatically to $X in 2022. In general, imports showed a abrupt contraction. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2016 with an increase of 335%. Imports peaked at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2022, China (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of aluminium alloy tube to Myanmar, accounting for a 65% share of total imports. Moreover, aluminium alloy tube imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Singapore (X tons), fourfold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Taiwan (Chinese) (X tons), with a 10% share.
