For the fourth year in a row, the Myanmar's apple market recorded decline in sales value, which decreased by -54.4% to $X in 2021. In general, consumption, however, recorded a significant expansion. Apple imports into Myanmar contracted significantly to X tons in 2021, which is down by -55.3% on the previous year. Over the period under review, imports, however, enjoyed significant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 709% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
