Banana And Plantain Market Size in Myanmar

For the third consecutive year, the Myanmar's banana and plantain market recorded growth in sales value, which increased by 9.2% to $X in 2022. In general, consumption continues to indicate a prominent increase. Over the period under review, the market attained the peak level in 2022 and is expected to retain growth in the near future.

Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at X tons in 2021, and then dropped remarkably in the following year.

In value terms, banana and plantain imports fell sharply to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, enjoyed resilient growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2019 when imports increased by 169%. Imports peaked at $X in 2021, and then contracted rapidly in the following year.
