The Netherlands (X kg) was the main destination for aircraft propeller exports from Nepal, with a 40% share of total exports. Moreover, aircraft propeller exports to the Netherlands exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, the Czech Republic (X kg), twofold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Malaysia (X kg), with a 16% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume to the Netherlands stood at +67.0%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: the Czech Republic (-5.5% per year) and Malaysia (-8.0% per year).
In value terms, the Netherlands ($X) emerged as the key foreign market for propellers and rotors for civil non-powered aircraft, helicopters and aeroplanes exports from Nepal, comprising 40% of total exports. The second position in the ranking was taken by Malaysia ($X), with a 19% share of total exports. It was followed by the Czech Republic, with a 13% share.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of value to the Netherlands stood at +116.4%. Exports to the other major destinations recorded the following average annual rates of exports growth: Malaysia (-4.1% per year) and the Czech Republic (-12.8% per year).

In 2022, the average aircraft propeller export price amounted to $X per ton, increasing by 30% against the previous year. Overall, the export price, however, saw a slight setback. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 when the average export price increased by 131% against the previous year. As a result, the export price reached the peak level of $X per ton. There were significant differences in the average prices for the major external markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Malaysia ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to the UK ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.

Imports into Nepal
Aircraft propeller imports into Nepal fell markedly to X tons in 2022, shrinking by -46.9% on 2021. In general, imports, however, enjoyed buoyant growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 1,361%. Imports peaked at X tons in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, aircraft propeller imports contracted notably to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, showed a resilient expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 2,018%. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

The United States (X kg), Italy (X kg) and India (X kg) were the main suppliers of aircraft propeller imports to Nepal, with a combined 63% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for the United States (with a CAGR of +64.1%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the United States ($X) constituted the largest supplier of propellers and rotors for civil non-powered aircraft, helicopters and aeroplanes to Nepal, comprising 51% of total imports.
