The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +11.7% against 2019 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2014 when imports increased by 47%. Over the period under review, imports reached the peak figure at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2022, China (X units) constituted the largest television receiver supplier to Nepal, accounting for a 64% share of total imports. Moreover, television receiver imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, India (X units), fourfold. Vietnam (X units) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 7.7% share.
