Imports into the Netherlands
In 2022, imports of cotton embroidery in the piece into the Netherlands shrank markedly to X tons, with a decrease of -32.6% compared with the previous year's figure. Over the period under review, imports, however, recorded a modest increase. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 with an increase of 315% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2018 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, cotton embroidery imports shrank to $X in 2022. In general, imports continue to indicate a pronounced downturn. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when imports increased by 186% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
