There were significant differences in the average prices for the major foreign markets. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was the UK ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Portugal ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.

Imports into the Netherlands
In 2021, purchases abroad of hygienic or pharmaceutical articles of rubber increased by 40% to X units, rising for the second consecutive year after two years of decline. Overall, imports recorded a notable increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 with an increase of 69%. Over the period under review, imports attained the maximum in 2021 and are expected to retain growth in the near future.
In value terms, pharmaceutical rubber articles imports skyrocketed to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports showed a buoyant increase. As a result, imports reached the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.

Belgium (X units), China (X units) and Germany (X units) were the main suppliers of pharmaceutical rubber articles imports to the Netherlands, with a combined 86% share of total imports.
