In value terms, inactive yeast imports expanded to $X in 2021. Overall, imports, however, posted a strong expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 with an increase of 69%. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure in 2021 and are likely to continue growth in years to come.

In 2021, Italy (X tons) constituted the largest inactive yeast supplier to the Netherlands, with a 28% share of total imports. Moreover, inactive yeast imports from Italy exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Belgium (X tons), threefold.
