Moreover, insulating board exports to Belgium exceeded the volume sent to the second major destination, France (X cubic meters), fourfold. From 2017 to 2022, the growth of imports remained at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, insulating board imports reduced notably to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a notable increase from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +2.1% over the last decade. Germany (X cubic meters), Poland (X cubic meters) and Belgium (X cubic meters) were the main suppliers of insulating board imports to the Netherlands, together accounting for 82% of total imports. Austria, Italy, the UK and the Czech Republic lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 14%.
From 2012 to 2022, the biggest increases were recorded for the UK (with a CAGR of +111.3%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
