The growth pace was the most rapid in 2018 when exports increased by 19%. The exports peaked in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in years to come.
In value terms, mixed condiment, sause and seasoning exports rose modestly to $X in 2022. Overall, total exports indicated strong growth from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +5.2% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, exports increased by +99.1% against 2015 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 with an increase of 29%. Over the period under review, the exports reached the peak figure in 2022 and are likely to see gradual growth in years to come.

The UK (X tons), Germany (X tons) and Belgium (X tons) were the main destinations of mixed condiment, sause and seasoning exports from the Netherlands, together accounting for 58% of total exports. France, Spain, Sweden, Italy, Gambia, Denmark, Ireland, Poland and Cameroon lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 22%.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Spain (with a CAGR of +18.1%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest markets for mixed condiment, sause and seasoning exported from the Netherlands were Germany ($X), the UK ($X) and Belgium ($X), together accounting for 51% of total exports. France, Spain, Sweden, Italy, Denmark, Gambia, Poland, Ireland and Cameroon lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 25%.
Spain, with a CAGR of +16.5%, recorded the highest rates of growth with regard to the value of exports, in terms of the main countries of destination over the period under review, while shipments for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average export price for mixed condiments, sauses and seasonings stood at $X per ton in 2022, waning by -5.3% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, saw a modest expansion. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2020 when the average export price increased by 11% against the previous year. The export price peaked at $X per ton in 2021, and then shrank in the following year.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major overseas markets. In 2022, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Denmark ($X per ton), while the average price for exports to the UK ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Gambia (+2.0%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.
Imports of Mixed Condiments, Sauses and Seasonings
Imports into the Netherlands
After four years of growth, supplies from abroad of mixed condiments, sauses and seasonings decreased by -5.9% to X tons in 2022. In general, total imports indicated a moderate expansion from 2012 to 2022: its volume increased at an average annual rate of +4.8% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +25.9% against 2014 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2021 with an increase of 21% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X tons, and then dropped in the following year.
In value terms, mixed condiment, sause and seasoning imports fell slightly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, total imports indicated a prominent increase from 2012 to 2022: its value increased at an average annual rate of +5.5% over the last decade. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +61.2% against 2015 indices. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2021 with an increase of 25%. As a result, imports attained the peak of $X, and then fell modestly in the following year.

Poland (X tons), Belgium (X tons) and Thailand (X tons) were the main suppliers of mixed condiment, sause and seasoning imports to the Netherlands, together comprising 43% of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Poland (with a CAGR of +15.1%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
In value terms, the largest mixed condiment, sause and seasoning suppliers to the Netherlands were Germany ($X), Belgium ($X) and Thailand ($X), together accounting for 42% of total imports. Poland, Italy, the UK, Spain, China, France and Hungary lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 42%.
China, with a CAGR of +18.1%, recorded the highest growth rate of the value of imports, in terms of the main suppliers over the period under review, while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

Overall, the import price recorded a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2020 when the average import price increased by 5.5%. The import price peaked in 2022 and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Germany ($X per ton), while the price for Poland ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
