In 2021, supplies from abroad of non-medical x-rays increased by 30% to X tons, rising for the second year in a row after two years of decline. Overall, imports enjoyed a resilient increase. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2017 when imports increased by 61%. Imports peaked in 2021 and are likely to see steady growth in the near future.
In value terms, non-medical x-ray imports soared to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate prominent growth. As a result, imports attained the peak and are likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Imports by Country
Malaysia (X tons), the UK (X tons) and the United States (X tons) were the main suppliers of non-medical x-ray imports to the Netherlands, together accounting for 51% of total imports. These countries were followed by Japan, China, Germany, Slovakia, Denmark, Austria and Taiwan (Chinese), which together accounted for a further 41%.
