Norway (X tons), Belgium (X tons) and Spain (X tons) were the main destinations of potassium sulphate (SOP) exports from the Netherlands, together comprising 63% of total exports. Germany, the UK, France, Finland and the United States lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 27%.

In 2022, after two years of growth, there was significant decline in supplies from abroad of potassium sulphate (SOP), when their volume decreased by -16.3% to X tons. Overall, imports, however, showed a mild increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2014 with an increase of 113% against the previous year. Imports peaked at X tons in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, potassium sulphate (SOP) imports fell sharply to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, saw a relatively flat trend pattern. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of 87%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at $X in 2015; however, from 2016 to 2022, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2022, Belgium (X tons) constituted the largest supplier of potassium sulphate (SOP) to the Netherlands, accounting for a 76% share of total imports. Moreover, potassium sulphate (SOP) imports from Belgium exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Germany (X tons), fourfold.
