As a result, the exports reached the peak of X units. From 2018 to 2021, the growth of the exports remained at a somewhat lower figure.

In value terms, bed-convertible seat exports surged to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, exports, however, continue to indicate a noticeable expansion. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when exports increased by 404% against the previous year. The exports peaked at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, the exports remained at a lower figure.

Germany (X units), Belgium (X units) and France (X units) were the main destinations of bed-convertible seat exports from the Netherlands, with a combined 69% share of total exports. Ireland, Denmark, Switzerland, the UK, Spain and Norway lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 15%.

Poland (X units), Belgium (X units) and Germany (X units) were the main suppliers of bed-convertible seat imports to the Netherlands, together accounting for 50% of total imports. Denmark, China, Romania, Ukraine and Bulgaria lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 44%.

From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were recorded for Ukraine (with a CAGR of +10.2%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.
