Sulphites Market Size in the Netherlands

For the third year in a row, the Dutch sulphites market recorded growth in sales value, which increased by 20% to $X in 2022. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2022 figures, imports increased by +48.7% against 2018 indices. The pace of growth appeared the most rapid in 2018 with an increase of 43% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure in 2022 and are likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.

Germany (X tons), Belgium (X tons) and Italy (X tons) were the main suppliers of sulphites imports to the Netherlands, together accounting for 92% of total imports. France and Thailand lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 4.1%.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by France (with a CAGR of +5.5%), while imports for the other leaders experienced mixed trend patterns.
