Switzerland (X tons), Croatia (X tons) and Poland (X tons) were the main destinations of unmanufactured tobacco exports from the Netherlands, together accounting for 68% of total exports.

Brazil (X tons), India (X tons) and Mozambique (X tons) were the main suppliers of unmanufactured tobacco imports to the Netherlands, with a combined 42% share of total imports. China, Italy, Argentina, Bangladesh, Belgium, Turkey, Poland, Pakistan, Zimbabwe and the United States lagged somewhat behind, together accounting for a further 48%.

From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of purchases, amongst the main suppliers, was attained by Pakistan (with a CAGR of +18.0%), while imports for the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average unmanufactured tobacco import price stood at $X per ton in 2022, which is down by -2.3% against the previous year. Overall, the import price continues to indicate a perceptible decline. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2013 an increase of 5.3%. The import price peaked at $X per ton in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2022, import prices remained at a lower figure.

There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2022, amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was the United States ($X per ton), while the price for Poland ($X per ton) was amongst the lowest.
