In value terms, the largest markets for watch exported from the Netherlands were Germany ($X), Switzerland ($X) and France ($X), with a combined 56% share of total exports. The average watch export price stood at $X per unit in 2021, rising by 24% against the previous year. In general, the export price continues to indicate buoyant growth. As a result, the export price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
There were significant differences in the average prices for the major export markets. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Finland ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Poland (+21.1%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

In 2021, overseas purchases of watches increased by 12% to X units, rising for the second year in a row after two years of decline. In 2021, China (X units) constituted the largest supplier of watch to the Netherlands, with a 60% share of total imports. As a result, import price attained the peak level and is likely to continue growth in the immediate term.
Prices varied noticeably by country of origin: amid the top importers, the country with the highest price was Switzerland ($X per unit), while the price for China ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
