China (X units), Taiwan (Chinese) (X units) and Singapore (X units) were the main destinations of industrial, laboratory or bakery oven exports from New Zealand, together accounting for 33% of total exports.

In 2022, after two years of growth, there was significant decline in supplies from abroad of industrial, laboratory or bakery ovens, when their volume decreased by -28.4% to X units. Overall, imports, however, continue to indicate strong growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 when imports increased by 159% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of X units, and then contracted significantly in the following year.
In value terms, industrial, laboratory or bakery oven imports shrank rapidly to $X in 2022. In general, imports, however, recorded strong growth. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2021 with an increase of 132% against the previous year. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X, and then contracted markedly in the following year.

In 2022, Italy (X units) constituted the largest industrial, laboratory or bakery oven supplier to New Zealand, accounting for a 52% share of total imports. Moreover, industrial, laboratory or bakery oven imports from Italy exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, China (X units), fivefold. The third position in this ranking was taken by Germany (X units), with a 4.3% share.
