From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Singapore (with a CAGR of +105.4%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 when imports increased by 149%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X tons in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.
In value terms, non-wheat groats imports expanded sharply to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, showed a pronounced slump. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2016 with an increase of 106% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at $X in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.

In 2021, Australia (X tons) constituted the largest non-wheat groats supplier to New Zealand, with a 69% share of total imports. Moreover, non-wheat groats imports from Australia exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, South Africa (X tons), fourfold. The third position in this ranking was held by Mexico (X tons), with a 5.1% share.
