Australia (X units), the United States (X units) and Papua New Guinea (X units) were the main destinations of non-electrical lamp exports from New Zealand, together accounting for 65% of total exports. Samoa, Cook Islands, Tonga, Poland and Fiji lagged somewhat behind, together comprising a further 29%.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of shipments, amongst the main countries of destination, was attained by Cook Islands (with a CAGR of +64.6%), while the other leaders experienced more modest paces of growth.

The average non-electrical lamp export price stood at $X per unit in 2021, picking up by 20% against the previous year. In general, the export price, however, continues to indicate a deep downturn. Over the period under review, the average export prices hit record highs at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, the export prices failed to regain momentum.
Average prices varied noticeably for the major external markets. In 2021, amid the top suppliers, the highest price was recorded for prices to Tonga ($X per unit) and Fiji ($X per unit), while the average price for exports to Cook Islands ($X per unit) and Papua New Guinea ($X per unit) were amongst the lowest.
From 2012 to 2021, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Cook Islands (+11.9%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

After six years of decline, purchases abroad of non-electrical lamps and lighting fittings increased by 19% to X units in 2021. Over the period under review, imports, however, continue to indicate a drastic downturn. Over the period under review, imports hit record highs at X units in 2014; however, from 2015 to 2021, imports remained at a lower figure.

The third position in this ranking was taken by the Philippines (X units), with a 6.9% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual growth rate of volume from China amounted to -8.5%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: India (-8.0% per year) and the Philippines (+22.3% per year).

From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of value from China amounted to -1.8%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: India (-2.5% per year) and the Philippines (+27.1% per year).

The average non-electrical lamp import price stood at $X per unit in 2021, growing by 12% against the previous year. Over the period under review, import price indicated a buoyant expansion from 2012 to 2021: its price increased at an average annual rate of +5.7% over the last nine years. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, non-electrical lamp import price increased by +18.5% against 2017 indices. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2015 when the average import price increased by 29%.
