Over the period under review, imports continue to indicate a significant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2013 with an increase of 107% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure in 2021 and are likely to see steady growth in the immediate term.
In value terms, liquid dispensing pump imports soared to $X in 2021. In general, total imports indicated a strong increase from 2012 to 2021: its value increased at an average annual rate of +6.7% over the last nine-year period. The trend pattern, however, indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded throughout the analyzed period. Based on 2021 figures, imports decreased by -16.0% against 2017 indices. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2013 when imports increased by 84% against the previous year. In 2021, China (X units) constituted the largest supplier of liquid dispensing pump to New Zealand, accounting for a 36% share of total imports. Moreover, liquid dispensing pump imports from China exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, Australia (X units), threefold. The third position in this ranking was held by Italy (X units), with a 9.8% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from China stood at +34.0%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Australia (+25.5% per year) and Italy (+15.7% per year).

The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2017 when the average import price increased by 32% against the previous year. The import price peaked at $X per unit in 2012; however, from 2013 to 2021, import prices remained at a lower figure.
There were significant differences in the average prices amongst the major supplying countries. In 2021, the country with the highest price was Australia ($X per unit), while the price for Malaysia ($X per unit) was amongst the lowest.
