In 2022, the New Zealand rum market was finally on the rise to reach $X for the first time since 2018, thus ending a three-year declining trend. The market value increased at an average annual rate of +2.0% over the period from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern remained consistent, with only minor fluctuations being observed in certain years. From 2012 to 2022, the most notable rate of growth in terms of prices was recorded for supplies to Oman (+11.2%), while the prices for the other major destinations experienced more modest paces of growth.

The total import value increased at an average annual rate of +2.1% from 2012 to 2022; however, the trend pattern indicated some noticeable fluctuations being recorded in certain years.
