Australia (X tons), Japan (X tons) and Kuwait (X tons) were the main destinations of frozen sweet corn exports from New Zealand, together accounting for 89% of total exports. These countries were followed by Taiwan (Chinese), which accounted for a further 4.1%.

In 2021, the amount of frozen sweet corn imported into New Zealand reduced dramatically to X tons, waning by -46.4% against the year before. Overall, imports continue to indicate a noticeable shrinkage. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when imports increased by 266% against the previous year. As a result, imports attained the peak of X tons. From 2019 to 2021, the growth of imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, frozen sweet corn imports dropped dramatically to $X in 2021. In general, imports saw a perceptible downturn. Spain (X tons), the United States (X tons) and Vietnam (X tons) were the main suppliers of frozen sweet corn imports to New Zealand, with a combined 96% share of total imports. These countries were followed by China, which accounted for a further 3.3%.
From 2012 to 2021, the biggest increases were in China (with a CAGR of -3.7%), while purchases for the other leaders experienced a decline.
In value terms, the United States ($X), Spain ($X) and Vietnam ($X) constituted the largest frozen sweet corn suppliers to New Zealand, together comprising 97% of total imports.
