Imports peaked at X tons in 2020; however, from 2021 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.
In value terms, vegetable puree imports dropped significantly to $X in 2022. Over the period under review, imports, however, posted a buoyant expansion. The pace of growth was the most pronounced in 2015 with an increase of 522%. Imports peaked at $X in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

In 2022, Australia (X tons) was the main supplier of vegetable puree to New Zealand, accounting for a 95% share of total imports. It was followed by Italy (X kg), with a 2.8% share of total imports.
From 2012 to 2022, the average annual growth rate of volume from Australia totaled +67.4%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: Italy (0.0% per year) and China (-11.4% per year).
