In 2021, Estonia (X tons) constituted the largest oils from coal tar supplier to Nigeria, with a 45% share of total imports. Moreover, oils from coal tar imports from Estonia exceeded the figures recorded by the second-largest supplier, the UK (X tons), fourfold. The Netherlands (X tons) ranked third in terms of total imports with a 7.2% share.
From 2012 to 2021, the average annual rate of growth in terms of volume from Estonia totaled +13.1%. The remaining supplying countries recorded the following average annual rates of imports growth: the UK (+11.3% per year) and the Netherlands (+13.8% per year).
In value terms, Estonia ($X) constituted the largest supplier of oils and other products of the distillation of high temperature coal tar to Nigeria, comprising 34% of total imports. The second position in the ranking was taken by the UK ($X), with a 14% share of total imports. It was followed by Belgium, with a 9.5% share.
