In 2021, overseas purchases of petrol and oil dispensing pumps decreased by -19.9% to X units, falling for the second year in a row after three years of growth. In general, imports continue to indicate a perceptible reduction. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2018 when imports increased by 110%. Over the period under review, imports reached the maximum at X units in 2019; however, from 2020 to 2021, imports stood at a somewhat lower figure.
In value terms, oil dispensing pump imports contracted remarkably to $X in 2021. Over the period under review, imports showed a deep downturn. The most prominent rate of growth was recorded in 2019 when imports increased by 60%. As a result, imports reached the peak of $X. From 2020 to 2021, the growth of imports remained at a lower figure.

In 2021, China (X units) constituted the largest supplier of oil dispensing pump to Nigeria, with a 76% share of total imports.
