Imports peaked at X tons in 2020, and then fell notably in the following year.

In value terms, paddy rice imports contracted rapidly to $X in 2021. In general, imports, however, showed a significant increase. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2017 when imports increased by 183% against the previous year. Imports peaked at $X in 2020, and then fell rapidly in the following year.

The United States (X tons), India (X tons) and Saudi Arabia (X tons) were the main suppliers of paddy rice imports to Nigeria, together comprising 77% of total imports.
