In value terms, flax fiber imports fell markedly to $X in 2022. Overall, imports, however, saw buoyant growth. The growth pace was the most rapid in 2015 when imports increased by 631% against the previous year. Over the period under review, imports attained the peak figure at $X in 2018; however, from 2019 to 2022, imports failed to regain momentum.

The United States was the main importing country with an import of around X tons, which recorded 82% of total imports. It was distantly followed by Canada (X tons), achieving an 18% share of total imports.
